This week, we welcome Heather June of Aunty’s a Dead Head to the show. Heather is known as the “Lot Mom” a name she really doesn’t like but is willing to accept because it comes from a place of love and respect for her loving spirit. While she has seen The Grateful Dead with Jerry at least 50 times she also loves that she got to see Cliff Burton (original badass bass player of Metallica) as she has always been a metal head as well. Her summers were filled with tours until Jerry died in 1995. Like many of us, she went another direction after Jerry’s death. She muled around the country working in photography in the tourism business.

Further Tour brought her back on the bus when she went to see the shows at Red Rocks. She hit the lot with a fresh batch of bootlegged stickers ready to go, took some L and she had an amazing time and realized what was missing in her life. She has been on many tours ever since. We discuss the ups and downs of vending on the lot and the therapeutic value of going into the show and remembering why we were all there in the first place. We even get an amazing story involving Natasha Weir and the power of miracles and much much more.
