Episode 17

This week, we welcome the artist and tattooist, Elisa Rose Mountain to the show.  Elisa currently resides in Boulder, CO where you’ll find her tattooing in her studio, painting and soon to be taking on a tattoo apprentice (Jack Shure).  Chicago was her hometown but lived in Virginia for a while, where she met Jennifer, who turned on to music!  She heard Friend of the Devil and was hooked.  It was just a few years later back in Chicago that Elisa went to her first Grateful Dead show at the young age of 14.  Escorted by her older brothers she was blown away by the scene, the music and the connection.  Attending 6 Grateful Dead shows before Jerry died, even getting to see the last show on her 16th birthday at Soldier Field 7/9/95.  The years after, she spent traveling, living in New Mexico and finding other music.  Dead & Co brought a new vibe and the energy she remembered and has enjoyed going to the shows. There’s so much more, so listen in and don’t miss the story of Elisa bringing a little Chi town to Deer Creek in 2021.
